His Love; Her Pain

Wasn’t it meant to be intense love felt so freely
But her heart drummed to a different beat
There was no escape though words were said
The life of her she had to hold in
His hands that bandaged and compressed her mouth
His body that pressed squeezing her air out
When ‘no’ could be said so many different ways
The end still had to come so she went to her safe space
There she would hide till he was done
To give him the pleasure as her tears would run
But when it was over and no words were said
That awkward silence helped her hatred grow instead
She saw the ugliness she never understood
He ended his relief he didn’t need her in his hood
She had to rid the pain she felt inside
Standing in front of the mirror she let it flow from the lines
And for a moment she felt peace inside
Until he came to find love again on another night
